The passenger figures for the year to the end of July are very good and we were 5.6% up on last year and just 2.2% down on the record year of 2007, but the statistics have improved even more this week and, as of today (04 August 2009), we are some 7% up on 2008 and under 2% on 2007 with over 50,000 visitors so far. We have a long way to go but it's looking encouraging...

The SDR has also managed to secure the hire of 4247 from the Bodmin and Wenford Railway for the forthcoming Heritage Transport Weekend (12th & 13th September 2009).
