Tuesday the 9th May 2017 is the last day of operation for our former GWR 0-6-0PT locomotive 1369 under its present boiler certificate.
To mark this and the anniversary of City of Truro’s 102 MPH descent of Wellington Bank on the 9th May 1904 we are running an extra gala with late trains.
Trains depart Buckfastleigh at: 10.45, 11.30, 12.15, 13. 0, 14.15, 15. 0, 15.45, 17.30, 18. 0, 18.45, 19.30, 21.30 and will be hauled by GWR 0-6-0PT 1369, GWR 2-6-2T “Prairie” 5542 or English Electric BR Type 3 Co-Co 6975 – see working timetable for details.
5542 will be running in auto mode with trailer 233.
