SOUTH DEVON RAILWAY Rails and Ales Events 2023
The Devon Diesel Society’s Spring Beer Festival will be held at Staverton as usual –
HOWEVER this year the festival will feature live music on Friday and Saturday.
- Friday will be 1960s music from CAHOOTS
- Saturday will be 1980s rock from FIREBIRD
This year it is from Friday 26th to Monday 29th May inclusive.
The Main Bar on the Station will be serving real ales and a choice of ciders
The yard bar will feature a number of craft beers on taps plus ciders, lager, wine, gin, Prosecco and Pimms.
The bars will open at 11.00 on each day and close at 22.00 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and at 18.00 on Monday.
All beers and ciders are competitively priced at £4.00 per pint, £2.00 per half pint ( Craft beer will be individually priced ).
Hot and cold food plus snacks, tea, coffee and cakes will be available from the buffet car located in the bay platform. Hot food will be available in the yard area.
There will be a quiz on Sunday at, around, 17. 0.
The BBQ will open around midday and close around 20. 0 each day EXCEPT Monday.
The buffet coach opens at 11. 0 and closes around 17. 0 and is open every day.
Due to limited parking at Staverton travelling to the event by rail is essential either from Buckfastleigh or Totnes for which a special timetable will apply.
Note: GWR offers through ticketing from local stations ( change at Totnes ) so why not leave the car at home ?
Note: Only eight of the fourteen beers will be on sale at any one time. As a beer runs out one of the remaining beers will replace it.
