In May 2011 the BBC’s FlogIt! antiques programme was filmed at Exmouth. The programme features members of the public bringing along their collectables for valuation and possible sale.  The valuation and subsequent auctions are presented in two seperate segments with a local interest feature between them.
The South Devon Railway was used for the local interest slot with the presenter Paul Martin visiting the SDR. He met our museum curator John Broddribb and joined the footplate crew for one of our service trains.

The producers have made us aware that the scheduled broadcast date for the Exmouth programme featuring the SDR is Friday 7th October 2011 at 16.30 on BBC 2.
