South Devon Diesel Traction's "Crompton" 33 002 made a fine return to traffic by faultlessly hauling its first passenger trains for many years at the SDR Annual Diesel Gala over the weekend of 13/14 June 2009.

In other news the refurbishment of GWR 2251 class 0-6-0 3205 is progressing well with the chassis being completed in leaps and bounds at the works.

This has received new tyres and, at the time of writing, is substantially complete.

The boiler is at the LNWR Crewe works and is expected to return to Devon at the end of the season.
