On Saturday 10th March the Annual General Meeting of the 'Totnes Group' of the South Devon Railway Association was held at the station and as part of the meeting the unveiling of the much sought after 2006 ‘GNER Volunteers Award’ took place. This award which was presented to the group in December came from the National Railway Heritage Awards (NRHA) body which aims to encourage high standards of restoration and environmental care of railway structures.
