SIR TOPHAM HATT is in charge of the Railway here on the ISLAND of SODOR where 'Thomas' and his friends live. Drivers and other railway staff call him the FAT CONTROLLER. This is an affectionate name and he is not offended in the slightest.  He loves talking to all the passengers and children, and patricularly likes to pose with them for photographs, so don't be afraid to ask!

He runs a very efficient railway, but does get exasperated with one silly guard in particular, who often misses the train and has to be sent after it on the Pump Trolley. He also suffers with poor old 'THOMAS' who keeps running short of water and suffers a fish in his tummy - usually after he's completed his two shuttle trains and before the long-distance train arrives back from Totnes Littlehempston.

It's all in a day's fun and soon forgotten!

'Mavis' or 'Lady Angela' will be providing rides with 'Toad' Rides at Totnes Littlehempston
These brake van rides start from Totnes Littlehempston station platform and run when the main Buckfastleigh train is away from the station down the line.

Bertie, Bulgy and their other 'bus friends
