The basic train service pattern will be a train every 45 minutes from both ends of the line ( Buckfastleigh and Totnes ).

Friday 26th August is the standard two train service during the day with additional evening services which will again utilise the auto train. The DDS’s class 37 is expected back into traffic by August and its return to service is also planned for early Friday evening.

Saturday 27th August will a 45 minute frequency service with steam hauled services at very close to the normal four departure times from Buckfastleigh, along with an additional early evening auto service. Additional services will be diesel hauled utilising the in house fleet of D7612, D6501 and 6975. Railcar W55000 also works the late trains. The idea of using the diesels mostly on the Saturday follows a successful similar day at Rails and Ales a couple of years back.

Sunday and Monday again features the 45 minute service, with late trains on the Sunday.

There will be a Bar-B-Que on both Friday and Saturday and, then a Chilli on Sunday.

Further details of ales etc. will be released in due course.
It has been decided to again keep the cost per pint at a very competitive £3.00. There will also be the usual PIMMS tent in the yard (run by the WLS) and this year we also plan to have a small wine and cider bar located in the yard area. This should satisfy the needs of those who have asked for wine in the past, and will make better use of the station site.

Note: Great Western Railway offer through ticketing as an uplift on their standard fares. Tickets availbale from Great Western Railway stationi booking offices and guards ( click here for more information)..
